Ken Nicol is one of the country's finest guitarist as well as being a member of the 16th line-up of Steeleye Span. Ken was also for many years a member of the Albion Band and back in the 70's was part of Al Stewart's backing band. However he is also a talented singer-songwriter and has been playing solo gigs for over thirty-five years.

Friday July 11: The Art of Tango | |

Anyone interested in gaining an insight into the seductive Latin American dance is welcome to come along to what promises to be a fantastic evening. The event, which will begin at 7pm, to the begins with a gallery launch of works themed on the Tango by Cornwall based artist and Lenkiewicz student, Mark Fielding who will attend the preview. The exhibition will run from Friday 11th July to Friday 1st August.
Then follows a film exploring the origins of the tango dance and its worldwide appeal will be shown in the 24 seated cinema at 8pm. And the evening will conclude with a demonstration of the Tango by local based professional dance teachers Tara Hughes-Law and Fernando Guidi of Vida de Tango. Not only will you see a wonderful exhibition of dancing but Tara and Frenando will take you through the basics of the dance and you might even like to visit their class when it opens in Torquay. They are, without doubt, exceptionally fine dancers and teachers.
Admission for the evening is £5.00 bookable in advance and places may be limited so early booking is essential

Tim Carrol will perform the support for the show and their gigs in G.B. this year include the Cambridge Folk Festival.
